1. Pick the recognition method.

• Fingerprint is the most affordable and suits most offices and shops, e.g. ZKTeco UA860 and iClock 680.
• Face recognition is touch-free and fast for larger teams, and works where fingerprints are worn or dirty, such as construction, cleaning and kitchens, e.g. Horus E1-FP and iFace880 Plus.
• Palm recognition combines touch-free use with high accuracy, e.g. SpeedFace-H5L and P160.
• Card, QR and PIN work as a backup or for visitors and contractors.

2. Attendance only, or door access too? Many terminals record attendance and open an electric lock at the same time. For doors only, add card readers and exit readers.

3. Number of staff and sites. Check the user and log capacity. For several branches, choose TCP/IP or Wi-Fi devices so all sites report to one system.

4. Location. Outdoor gates and labour sites need IP65-rated devices; remote and field teams can use the handheld Horus H1 or our mobile attendance app.

A device on its own only records punches. For a small office, a fingerprint device such as the ZKTeco UA300 or UA860 is reliable and affordable. If you prefer touch-free clock-in, choose a face recognition terminal such as the Horus E1-FP.
